$12,000 fine for breaching worker's rights...

A shop owner has been fined $12,000 by the Employment Relations Authority after demanding its employee pay it a fee to support the employee’s application for a work visa. The employer demanded payments of $20,000 and $18,000 from the employee. Luckily the employee did not pay and instead complained about the employer’s actions. $6000 of the fine is to be paid to the employee.
