On 1 April 2020 the minimum wage will rise to $18.90 (up
from $17.70). This is the second to last
step in the Government’s planned increase of the minimum wage to $20 in 2021.
The starting out and training wage will increase to $15.12
per hour from 1 April which is 80% of the adult minimum wage.
